of fyke and gill nets.

1929, ch. 471, sec. 37.

38. St. Mary's County, (a) It shall be unlawful to haul a seine of
greater length than 80 fathoms within a mile of the Maryland shore in
that portion of the Potomac River between Cobb's Point in Charles County
and Point Lookout in St. Mary's County, except from the 15th day of
March to the 15th day of May, both dates inclusive, in each year.

(b) It shall be unlawful for any person to fish with seine or net of any
kind in the waters of Chaptico Bay and other waters of the Wicomico
River within the limits of St. Mary's County, within 500 yards of any
established ducking blind during the open season for shooting ducks or
other wild fowl.

(c) It shall be unlawful for any person to set fish traps or nets or haul
seine in the waters of St. Catherine's Sound in the waters of St. Mary's
County.

1929, ch. 471, sec. 38.

39. Somerset County. It shall be unlawful for any person to fish in
the waters of Colburn's Creek with any kind of seine, net or weir, except
such nets as are used for catching rock fish, during the months of March,
April, and May; which said last mentioned nets shall not exceed 20'
fathoms in length.

1929, ch. 471, sec. 39.

40. Talbot County. (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to catch
fish in Skipton Creek with haul seines from the 20th day of May to the
31st day of July next succeeding, both dates inclusive in each year; and
to catch fish with any kind of a net in any of the other waters lying in said
county between the 21st day of May and the 31st day of July next suc-
ceeding, both dates inclusive, except that gill nets may be used at all times
in the waters of Miles River and its tributaries and all the tributaries of
the Wye and Great Choptank Rivers.

1929, ch. 264.

(b) It shall be unlawful at any time for non-residents to haul a seine
for the catching or taking of fish on the shores of Poplar Island or Coaches
Neck Island or within 300 yards of said islands. Any person violating
the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
and shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than twenty-five dollars ($25)
nor more than fifty dollars ($50).

1929, ch. 471, sec. 40.

41. Wicomico County. It shall be unlawful for any person to catch
fish with any net within 500 yards on the lower side and 100 yards on
the upper side of the mouth of Quantico Creek, Ruvastico Creek or Bar-
ren Creek.
