1929, ch. 318, sec. 23.

24. (Uniformity of Interpretation. ) This sub-title shall be so inter-
preted and construed as to effectuate its general purpose to make uniform
the law of those states which enact it.

25. (Short Title. ) This sub-title may be cited as the Uniform Air
Licensing; Act.

26. If any section or part of a section of this sub-title shall be held
to be unconstitutional, such unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity
of any other section or provision of this sub-title. 1

Airports.

1929, ch. 219, sec. 14.

27. The local legislative body of any city, village, or town in this State
is hereby authorized to acquire, establish, construct, own, control, lease,
equip, improve, maintain, operate and regulate airports or landing fields
for the use of airplanes and other aircraft either within or without the
limits of such cities, villages, towns, and may use for such purpose or pur-
poses any property suitable therefor that is now or may at any time here-
after be owned or controlled by such city, village, or town.

28. The Board of County Commissioners of any county in this State
is hereby authorized to acquire, establish, construct, own, control, lease,
equip, improve, maintain, operate, and regulate airports or landing fields
for the use of airplanes and other aircraft within the limits of such coun-
ties, and may use for such purpose or purposes any property suitable there-
for that is now or may at any time hereafter be owned or controlled by
such county.

29. Any lands acquired, owned, controlled, or occupied by such cities,
villages, towns, or counties for the purposes enumerated in Sections 27
and 28 hereof shall and are hereby declared to be acquired, owned, con-
trolled, and occupied for a public purpose and as a matter of public neces-
sity, and such cities, villages, towns, or counties shall have the right to
acquire property for such purpose or purposes under the power of eminent
domain as and for a public necessity.

30. Private property needed by a city, village, town, or county for an
airport or landing field shall be acquired by purchase if the city, village,
town, or county is able to agree with the owners on the terms thereof, and
