LICENSES. 1967

44. Applicants for trader's licenses shall be required to apply to the
Clerk for such licenses under oath in the following manner: and be re-
quired to give the following information:

me, the subscriber, personally appeared............................

the applicant for trader's license, and made oath in due form of law that
the statements set forth above are true, to the best of said applicant's
knowledge and belief.

Clerk of Court.

Notary Public.

The said Clerks of Court shall grant to every person who shall apply for
the same, such license as he may desire, and be authorized to obtain, prop-
erly filled up and signed by them.

fire insurance company, see Mispelhorn v. Farmers' etc., Ins. Co., 53 Md. 479.

45. If it shall appear from the statement so made on oath that the
amount of the applicant's stock in trade does not or will not exceed one
thousand dollars, the sum of fifteen dollars shall be demanded and received
by said clerk from said applicant before granting the license applied for.

46. If more than one thousand dollars and not more than fifteen hun-
