199. The word "person," as used in sections 189 to 200, shall be
construed to import both the plural and singular, as the case demands, and
shall include corporations, companies, societies and associations; when
construing and enforcing the provisions of sections 189 to 200, the act,
omission or failure of any officer, agent or other person acting for or em-
ployed by any corporation, company or society, or association, shall in every
case be also deemed to be the act, omission or failure of such corporation,
company, society or association, as well as that of the person.

200. Sections 189 to 200 shall be in force and effect from and after
July 1, 1910, but shall not apply to foods and drugs purchased by the
dealers prior to April 5, 1910, until January 1, 1911; provided, that after
January 1, 1911, any such original package of foods or drugs in possession
of any manufacturer or dealer so purchased and delivered before April 5,
1910, may be sold, if such original packages are labeled with a sticker,
supplemental label or imprint, under the provisions of sections 189 to 200;
and provided further, that the contents of such package conform to the
requirements and provisions of said sections.

201. From and after April 16, 1914, all matters and things relating
to the sanitation of Factories, Canneries, Bakeries, Confectioneries, Cream-
eries, Milk Plants and Distributing Dairies, Hotels, Restaurants or Eating
Houses, Packing and Slaughter Houses, Ice Cream Plants, and other places
where food products are manufactured, packed, stored, deposited, collected,
prepared, produced, or sold for any purpose whatever, shall be under the
supervision of the State Board of Health of Maryland, which said State
Board of Health, with its officers and such agents as may be appointed
by it, is hereby vested with power and authority to carry into effect the pro-
visions hereof.

202. The said State Board of Health of Maryland shall cause to be
inspected at reasonable hours, and as often as practicable, all Factories,
Canneries, Bakeries, Confectioneries, Creameries, Milk Plants and Dis-
tributing Dairies, Hotels, Restaurants or Eating Houses, Packing and
Slaughter Houses, Ice Cream Plants, and other places where food products
are manufactured, packed, stored, deposited, collected, prepared, pro-
duced or sold for any purpose whatever, and to enforce the correction of
all unsanitary conditions and practices found therein.

203. The said State Board of Health of Maryland and its agents and
inspectors in the discharge of their duties under the provisions hereof and
