waters west and south of the following line shall be considered as belonging
to the Chesapeake bay, to wit: A line drawn from Carpenter's Point, thence
to Grove Point; and a line drawn from Grove Point to Howel's Point, but
not to include any tributary of said bay.

Driving Fish into Thresh Nets.

An. Code, sec. 122. 1916, ch. 278. 1922, ch. 510.

141. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to whip or beat the
waters of any river, creek, cove, inlet or tributary within the limits of this
State with poles, sticks, or any other thing, for the purpose of driving fish
into thresh nets, seines, nets, fish baskets, or any other contrivance for
catching fish, and any person violating this section shall be subject to the
fines and forfeitures prescribed by Section 134 of this Article, provided
that nothing in this section shall be construed to apply to the waters of
Kent County, and Queen Anne's County, except to the waters of the Sassa-
fras River and its tributaries.
