ARTICLE 39.

FISH AND FISHERIES.

Head of Bay.

1. Time for catching herring and shad
with gill-nets; forfeiture.
2. Hauling seine or drag-net, when pro-
hibited.
3. No fishing with purse-nets north of
certain line.
4. License to fish south of said line.
5. Penalty for violating sec. 2.
6. Imprisonment if fine not paid; appeal.
7. Placing of stakes or poles prohibited.
8. Not. to apply to drift-nets.
9. Penalty.
10. Vessels not to be anchored in any
fishery, when.
11. Penalty.
12. Master, owner and vessel liable.
13. Vessels sailing through seines; penalty.
14. Floats not to be located so as to inter-
fere with shore fishing; penalty.
15. Obstructions in usual haul of floating

Patapsco.

16. Fish ladders to be kept in repair by
owners of dams.

than residents of Prince George's,
Charles, St. Mary's and Calvert
counties.
20. Emptying seines upon beach.
21. Penalty for violations of secs. 19 and

tween Sheridan's Point and Point
Patience.

24. Staking down seines; beating waters;
size of seines; penalty.

fishing landing, or opposite shore of
owner; penalty.
40. Arrest of offenders; forfeiture of boats
and seines.
41. Time regulated for catching bass and
other fish.
42. Penalty for violating these provisions.
