Reformation and instruction; provided, that in all cases no transfer of
any such minor shall be made until due notice has been given to the superin-
tendent of said House of Reformation, and an answer received from him
that there is room for the reception of such delinquent.

611. Every person who shall wilfully aid or abet any minor in escaping
from the House of Reformation, or from any person or persons to whose
care and custody any minor may have been lawfully bound by said House
of Reformation under section 607, shall on conviction be sentenced to pay
a fine of not more than one hundred dollars, or be imprisoned for not more
than sixty days.

Maryland Training School for Boys.

1918, ch. 300, sec. 1.

612. From and after the acquisition by the State of Maryland from the
Maryland School for Boys, a corporation of this State, of the property here-
tofore held, conducted and managed by said corporation as a reformatory
institution for the care and training of white male minors committed thereto
under the provisions of the Laws of this State, the same shall continue
under the name of the Maryland Training School for Boys to be conducted
as a public agency of this State for the care and reformation of white male
minors now committed thereto, and who may hereafter be committed thereto
under the Laws of this State, under the supervision, control and manage-
ment of a Board of Managers hereby named the Board of Managers of the
Maryland Training School for Boys, said Board of Managers to be ap-
pointed as hereinafter provided.

613. That the Board of Managers of the Maryland Training School for
Boys shall consist of the Governor, ex officio, the State Treasurer, and the
Comptroller of the Treasury for the time being and nine members to be
appointed by the Governor, three of said members to be designated and
appointed to hold office for six years, three for four years and three for
two years, or until their successor shall respectively be named and ap-
pointed, five of which said Board of Managers shall constitute a quorum for
the transaction of business, and the said Board of Managers of the Maryland
Training School for Boys shall make rules and regulations for the Govern-
ment of said institution, not inconsistent with the laws of this State which
they may deem necessary and proper for the public welfare and the best
interests of the said institution and its inmates, and the said Board of
Managers of the Maryland Training School for Boys are hereby authorized
to exercise all the powers and authority heretofore conferred upon the
Managers of the Maryland School for Boys, formerly the House of Refuge
under sections 618, 619 and 620 of Article 27 of the Code of Public General
Laws of this State, as fully and absolutely as if the same were herein
repeated, recited and specifically set out and re-enacted, and shall appoint
all necessary officers and employees, provided, however, that until said
