of such corrected roll to the Adjutant General and the commanding
officer of each organization in the National Guard. The heads of fire
and police departments in each city or town shall, whenever an enroll-
ment is ordered, file in the office of the clerk above named a certified
list of the names of all persons in their command or departments.

4. All persons shall, upon the application of any person making
such enrollment, give the name of and all other proper information con-
cerning any person within their knowledge liable to be enrolled, and
any person failing or refusing so to do, and any person who fails or
refuses to answer any question properly asked by the officer making
the enrollment, or who answers any such question untruthfully, or who
declines to give or conceals any information or who gives any false
information, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and be subject, for each
effense, to a fine of not more than five hundred dollars, or to imprison-
ment for not less than one month nor more than six-months, or to both
fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court or justice before
whom the prosecution may be had, and any court or justice having
criminal jurisdiction shall have jurisdiction to try such person. The
officer making the enrollment shall forthwith report all such persons
to the Adjutant General and to the State's Attorney for the county or
for Baltimore City, as the case may be, for prosecution.

4A. In all cases in which the enrolling officers in any district of
Baltimore City or in any county of the State have already enrolled,
or shall hereafter enroll, in the manner aforesaid, all persons in such
district or county whom it has been or shall hereafter be practically
possible for them to enroll, the officers or board under whose supervision
and direction such enrollment was made, or shall hereafter be made,
shall certify such fact to the Governor, who may thereupon give notice
by publication in such district of Baltimore City or in such county, as
the case may be, that all persons therein liable to be enrolled and who
have not actually been enrolled, shall, within ten days from the publi-
cation of such notice, appear at such place or places in the City of
Baltimore or in such county, as the case may be, as the Governor may
designate, and then and there submit themselves to be enrolled accord-
ing to law. The copies of the enrollment of all persons enrolled pur-
suant to such notice shall be disposed of as provided in Sections 2 and 3
hereof, and the penalties provided by Section 4 hereof shall apply. Any
person not previously enrolled who does not thereupon submit himself
to enrollment as required by this Section, shall be guilty of a misde-
meanor, and shall be subject to a fine of not more than five hundred
dollars, or to imprisonment for not more than six months, or to both
fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court or justice.
