their application, present credentials satisfactory to said Board of
Examiners.

206. This sub-title shall not be construed to affect or apply to the
gratuitous nursing of the sick by friends or members of the family,
and also it shall not" apply to any person nursing the sick for hire, who
does not advertise, solicit employment or hold himself or herself out as
a graduate, certified or registered nurse.

207. Any person violating any of tho provisions of this sub-title,
or who shall wilfully make any false representation to the Board of
Examiners in applying for a certificate, shall be guilty of a misde-
meanor, and upon conviction be punished by a fine of not more than
five hundred dollars ($500.00).

207A. The State Board of Examiners is hereby authorized to ap-
point or employ, subject to the approval of the Executive Committee
of the Maryland State Association of Graduate Nurses, a registered
nurse who has had not less than five years' experience in her profes-
sion, who may be one of the members of the Board of Examiners, to
act as visitor and inspector of training schools for nurses. Such vis-
itor and inspector shall act under the direction of said Board of
Examiners to the end that it may be conversant at all times with the
course of study and training as it is carried on in the training schools
for nurses in the State; and also that said training schools may be
informed of the requirements, hours of duty, and course of study
approved by said Board of Examiners, and that they may be assisted
through said visitor and inspector in maintaining the standards re-
quired by said Board of Examiners, in accordance with this sub-title.
The compensation of the visitor and inspector of training schools shall
be five dollars ($5.00) for each day actually engaged in this service,
with traveling and other expenses incurred in the discharge of her
official duties and shall be paid from the fees received by the Board of
Examiners.

208. The State Board of Examiners of graduate nurses may revoke
any certificate for sufficient cause, but before this is done the holder
of said certificate shall have thirty days' notice, and after a full and
fair hearing of the charges made, by a majority vote of the whole
Board, the certificate may be revoked.
