1. A State Board of Agriculture for Maryland is hereby created,
and the board of trustees of the Maryland Agricultural college as con-
stituted from time to time shall be ex officio the Mainland State Board
of Agriculture.

2. The directors of the Maryland Agricultural Experiment Station
shall be ex officio the secretary of the Maryland State Board of Agri-
culture, and be the executive officer of the board when they are not in
session, and take charge of all of the correspondence of the board or
other business which they may assign to the secretary.

3. The assent of the State of Maryland is hereby given to the pur-
poses of the grant made by the Act of the first session of the Fifty-ninth
Congress of the United States known as the Adams Bill H. R. 345,
entitled "An Act to provide for an increased annual appropriation for
Agricultural Experiment Stations," and the Maryland Agricultural
Experiment Station, a department of the Maryland Agricultural Col-
lege, is hereby designated as the institution entitled to receive the
moneys appropriated for Maryland and the treasurer of the said insti-
tution is hereby designated as the proper person to receive the said
appropriations...

4. The assent of the State of Maryland to the grants of money for
the purposes, upon the terms and in accordance with the several condi-
tions and provisions contained in said Act, is hereby signified and
expressed, and the Secretary of the State is hereby directed to transmit
a certified copy of this Act to the Treasurer of the United States and
to the Secretary of Agriculture of the United States.
