FISH AND FISHERIES.

Head of the Bay.

1. Time for catching herring and
shad with gill-nets; forfeiture.
2. Hauling seine or drag-net, when
prohibited.
3. No fishing with purse-nets north
of certain line.
4. License to fish with purse-nets
south of said line.
5. Penalty for violating section 2.
6. Imprisonment if fine be not paid ;
appeal.
7. Placing of stakes or poles prohib-
ited.

fishery, when.
