shall be added to Article 1 of the Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Allegany County," sub-title "County Treasurer,"
the same to follow section 41 of said article and to read as fol-
lows:
Section 4lA. It shall be the duty of said County Treasurer
to make quarterly reports to the County Commissioners of Alle-
gany County, showing fully his receipts and disbursements and
the financial condition of the county as disclosed by his official
books and records. Said reports shall be made on the first day
of April, the first day of July, the first day of October and the
first day of January of each and every year.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 34.
AN ACT to repeal section 50A of Article 6 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, title "Caroline County," new sub-title "Clerk
to the County Commissioners" and to re-enact the same with
amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 50A ,of Article 6 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Caroline County," new sub-title "Clerk to the
County Commissioners," be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as follows:
50A. The County Commissioners of Caroline County shall,
between the first day of March and the first day of June, begin-
ning with the year nineteen hundred and twelve, and every two
years thereafter, appoint a clerk to the County Commissioners
of said county, who shall hold his office for two years from the
first day of July next ensuing his appointment; it shall be the
duty of the clerk to the County Commissioners, in addition to
the duties now required of him, to assess all new and unassessed
property in said county, for which he shall receive the sum of
twenty-five cents for each person's property assessed by him,
and for this purpose he is clothed with all the powers possessed
by collectors of taxes under the provisions of the Code of Public
General Laws. Said clerk may appoint one or more deputies,
who shall be authorized to act in his place and for whose acts
he shall be responsible, and to whom he may pay such com-
pensation as he may deem proper, to be deducted from his sal-
