PHILLIPS LEE GOLDSBOROUGH, ESQ., GOVERNOR.
Government for the fiscal year beginning with the first day of
October, nineteen hundred and twelve, and ending with the
thirtieth day of September, nineteen hundred and thirteen, the
following sums of money, or so much thereof as may be neces-
sary, be and the same are hereby appropriated, that is to say:
For State Officers.
For the salary of the Governor, four thousand five hundred
dollars; for the salary of the Secretary of State, two thousand
dollars; for the salary of the Chief Clerk to the Governor,
twenty-four hundred dollars; for the salary of one clerk to the
Governor, twelve hundred dollars; for the salary of the mes-
senger to the Governor, eleven hundred dollars; for the salary
of a stenographer to the Governor, fifteen hundred dollars; for
the salary of the Comptroller of the Treasury, two thousand
five hundred dollars; for the salary of the chief clerk to the
Comptroller, twenty-four hundred dollars; for the salaries of
four assistant clerks to the Comptroller, fifteen hundred dollars
each, six thousand dollars; for the salaries of two assistant
clerks to the Comptroller, twelve hundred dollars each, twenty-
four hundred dollars; for the salary of the Treasurer of the
State, two thousand five hundred dollars; for the salary of the
chief clerk to the Treasurer, twenty-four hundred dollars; for
the salary of one assistant clerk to the Treasurer, eighteen hun-
dred dollars; for the salaries of three assistant clerks to the
Treasurer, fifteen hundred dollars each, forty-five hundred dol-
lars ; for the salary of one messenger to the Treasurer, one thou-
sand dollars; for the salary of the chief clerk to the State Tax
. Commissioner, twenty-four hundred dollars; for the salaries of
two assistant clerks to the State Tax Commissioner, fifteen
hundred dollars each, three thousand dollars; for the salary of
one assistant clerk to the State Tax Commissioner, twelve hun-
dred dollars; for the salary of the State Librarian, fifteen hun-
dred dollars; for the salary of the Indexer and Cataloguer,
twelve hundred dollars; for the salary of a medical assistant to
the State Board of Health, one thousand dollars; for the salary
of the Adjutant General, two thousand dollars; for the salary
of the Commissioner of the Land Office, fifteen hundred dol-
lars ; for the salary of the Chief Clerk to the Commissioner of
the Land Office, two thousand dollars; for the salaries of two
assistant clerks to the Commissioner of the Land Office, thir-
teen hundred dollars each, twenty-six hundred dollars; for the
salaries of two index clerks to the Commissioner of the Land
Office, one thousand dollars each, two thousand dollars; for the
