736 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [Ch. 522]

SEC. 3. Be it further enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That nothing in this act shall interfere with the
prosecution of any person, firm or corporation for any offense
which has been or shall have been committed against the local
law of Talbot county hereby repealed before this act takes
effect; and every such offense shall be dealt with as if said
sections had not been repealed; and no case or proceeding pend-
ing shall abate by reason of such repeal.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That this act shall take effect from the date of
its passage.

CHAPTER 521.

AN ACT to authorize and require the Board of Public Works
to tire or rent a local guard boat during the entire year begin-
ning with the date of the passage of this act for the tanging
waters of Somerset county in the Manokin River east of a
straight line from Hazard Point, on the sound side of said
river to South Point on the southeast end of Little Deal's
Island, and to appoint a commander for said boat.

(Vetoed.)

CHAPTER 522.

AN ACT to refund to The Dennis Fish and Oil Company a cer-
tain sum of money erroneously paid into the State Treasury.

WHEREAS, The Dennis Fish and Oil Company, being a corpora-
tion with a charter issued under the Laws of Virginia, did
erroneously apply for and have issued to them on August
22nd, 1911, four purse net licenses for which said company
paid into the State Treasury the sum of twenty-five dollars
each, or one hundred dollars; and,

WHEREAS, The said Dennis Fish and Oil Company, being a
non-resident corporation, could not use the licenses above
referred to within the waters of this State; therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury of Maryland bo
