poles, conduits and other appliances necessary to supply, use
and furnish electricity, electrical currents and power for all
commercial purposes, and to charge and collect such rents,
rates and charges for the use thereof as may be agreed upon;
and is authorized to transact any business to which electricity
may be applied within Kent and Cecil counties, State of Mary-
land. The railroad or railroads permitted to be constructed
under the provisions of this act shall be completed within the
time of five years from the passage of this act, otherwise the
powers and privileges conferred and granted under this act,
are hereby declared to be null and void and repealed; pro-
vided, however, that nothing in this act, or in the general
laws of this State authorizing the condemnation of property
for the purposes set forth in this act or for any other purposes,
shall be construed to authorize it to acquire in that way any
land, property or rights on the Susquehanna River from Port
Deposit to the State line between Maryland and Pennsylvania
in Cecil county, or between Lapidum and the State line between
^Maryland and Pennsylvania in Harford county, provided, that
nothing in this act is intended or shall be construed as relieving
the said corporation from the provisions of the Public Service
Commission Law, as enacted by the provisions of Chapter 180
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of the Ses-
sion of 1910, or any amendment or supplement thereto.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 520.

AN ACT to repeal sections 124, 125, 126 and 127 of Article
21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Talbot County," sub-title "Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks,"
as re-enacted by Chapter 716 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1906, and to enact in lieu thereof the following
new sections to be designated as sections 124, 125, 126 and
127.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sections 124, 125, 126 and 127 of Article 21 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Talbot
County," sub-title "Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks," as re-en-
acted by Chapter 716 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
