698 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [Ch. 496]

CHAPTER 495.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 1 of
Article 3 of the Charter of the Mountain Lake Park Asso-
ciation of Garrett county, incorporated under the general
incorporation laws of Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 1 of Article 3 of the Charter of the Moun-
tain Lake Park Association, of Garrett county, be and the same
is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to
read as follows:

SEC. 1. The said association shall be composed of the per-
sons owning said shares of stock, two-thirds of which shares of
stock shall be held by ministers or members of the Methodist
Episcopal Church in regular standing, or of some other Evan-
gelical denomination.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this act
shall be taken as affecting the capital stock so far as the same is
provided for in any legislation relating thereto heretofore
passed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 8, 1912.

CHAPTER 496.

AN ACT to provide for the impannelling of a jury to inquire
and find whether or not a convict confined in any jail in
any city or county in this State has become insane or a
lunatic, and to authorize the removal of any such convict,
so found to be insane or a lunatic, from the jail in which
he may be then confined, and the confinement of such insane
convict in some institution suitable to his or her condition,
at the public expense.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That whenever any convict confined in any jail in any
city or county in this State shall become insane or lunatic, the
warden of such jail, or any person on behalf of such convict,
may file a petition, either during the session or recess of the
Court, in the Circuit Court having jurisdiction in the city or
county, where the jail in which such convict is confined, is
