teen (1913) and annually thereafter, as follows: a tax of six-
teen and one-eight (16 1/8) cent on each one hundred dollars to
aid in the support of the public schools, to be distributed accord-
ing to law among the several counties and the City of Balti-
more; a tax of five and one-half (5 1/2) cents on each one hun-
dred dollars, to meet the interest and create a sinking fund for
the redemption of "The State Hospital Loan"; a tax of three-
fourths (3/4) of one cent on each one hundred dollars, to meet
the interest and create a sinking fund for the redemption of
"The Maryland State Normal School Loan"; a tax of three-
fourths (3/4) of one cent on each one hundred dollars, to meet
the interest and create a sinking fund for the redemption of
"The Technical School of 1912 Loan"; a tax of seven-eighths
(7/8) of one cent on each one hundred dollars to meet the inter-
est and create a sinking fund for the redemption of the "Sec-
ond Insane Hospital Loan"; a tax of one-half (1/2) of one cent
on each one hundred dollars, to meet the interest and create a
sinking fund for the redemption of "The Consolidated Loan of
1913"; a tax of one cent (1) on each one hundred dollars, to
meet the interest and create a sinking fund for the redemption
of "The Public Buildings Loan"; a tax of three (3) cents on
each hundred dollars, to meet the interest and create a sinking
fund for the redemption of "The State Loan of 1912"; and a
tax of one cent (1) on each one hundred dollars, for the mainte-
nance of State Roads, making an aggregate of thirty-one (31)
cents on each one hundred dollars; and the Comptroller of the
Treasury shall levy the same State taxes on the shares of the
capital stock of all banks. State and national, and other incor-
porated institutions and companies of this State, the shares of
whose capital stock are liable by law to assessment and taxa-
tion.

CHAPTER 484.

AN ACT to grant unto Charles Yarnall Abbott, his heirs and
assigns, the right to construct and maintain a pier and wharf
in the Elk River, from and on the front of his lot of land at
Town Point, in Cecil county, Maryland.

WHEREAS, Charles Yarnall Abbott is the owner of a lot of land
at Town Point, in Cecil county, State of Maryland, fronting
on the Elk River, being the same lot of land which was
devised to him by the last will and testament of William H.
