to the maintaining, repairing and lighting of said Light Street
Bridge, shall cease and determine.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 429.

AN ACT to add three new sections to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, Article 4, title "City of Baltimore," sub-
title "Charter," to be known as section 36s, following section
36A, section 58B following section 58A, and section 86D fol-
lowing section 86C; and to repeal and re-enact, with amend-
ments, section 14 of said Article 4, of the Public Local Laws-
of Maryland, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title' "Charter";

and to repeal sub-paragraph headed (O) Cathedral Ceme-
tery, of paragraphs 26, "Streets, Bridges and Highways," of
section 6, as the same is codified in the Baltimore City Code
of 1906 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, Article 4,
title "City of Baltimore," sub-title "Charter."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That there are hereby added to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, Article 4, title "City of Baltimore," sub-
title "Charter," the following new sections, to be numbered
36B, 58B and 86D, and to follow, respectively, sections 36A, 58A
and 86C, and section 14 of said Article 4 of the Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title "Char-
ter," is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and
that sub-paragraph headed "(O) Cathedral Cemetery," of para-
graph 26, "Strects, Bridges and Highways," of section 6 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, Article 4, title "City
of Baltimore," sub-title "Charter," as the same is codified in
the Baltimore City Code of 1906, be and the same is hereby
repealed, said new sections and said amended sections to read
as follows:

36B. The Board of Estimates shall have power to appoint,
upon nomination of the Mayor a consulting engineer, who
shall be paid a salary to be fixed by said board, not exceeding
$4,000 per year. The duty of the consulting engineer shall be-
to advise and assist in the work of the various engineering
departments of the city when called upon so to do. He shall
