under this act shall be subject to and exercised in accordance
with such regulation and control as may be exercised with
respect to the said Youghiogheny Water and Electric Power
Company, by the Public Service Commission of Maryland in
accordance with the powers vested by law in said commission.
And the said company shall be subject to all the provisions of
the Public Service Commission Law of Maryland and to all
the powers and duties of the Public Service Commission of
Maryland which are or may be applicable to corporations sell-
ing or supplying electric current for furnishing light, heat
or power or exercising any other power, franchise or franchises
conferred by this act upon the said Youghiogheny Water and
Electric Power Company. Provided that nothing in this act
shall apply to Baltimore City or Baltimore county.
SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 228.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments sections 162,
165, 166, 167, 168 and 173 of Article 33 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Elections," sub-
title "Corrupt Practices."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sections 162, 165, 166, 167 and 173 of Article 33
of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Elec-
tions," and sub-title "Corrupt Practices," as said sections were
enacted by Chapter 122 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1908, and also section 168 of said Article 33, title "Elec-
tions," sub-title "Corrupt Practices," as said section was enacted
by Chapter 427 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1910,
be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments, so that said sections, severally and respectively, shall
be and read as follows, to wit:
162. The term "Political Committee," within the meaning
of this act, shall include every committee or combination of
two or more persons to aid or promote the success or defeat of
any political party or principle in any election, or of any propo-
sition submitted to vote at a public election, or to aid or take
part in the nomination or election of any candidate for public
office. The term "Treasurer" shall include all persons appointed
