products, on and for animals, as may be requested, provided the
work in hand permits and the cost is within the State appropria-
tion.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That there shall be ap-
propriated out of any money in the Treasury of .Maryland not
otherwise appropriated, the sum of $5,000.00 for the establish-
ment of said Biological Laboratory, and for carrying out the
purpose of this act the sum of $5,000.00, or so much thereof
as may be needed, is hereby appropriated for the year 1913,
and like sum of $5,000.00, is hereby appropriated for the year
1914, to be paid to the said State Board of Agriculture out of
any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That all acts or parts of
acts that are inconsistent with this act be and the same are
hereby repealed.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect July 1, 1912.

CHAPTER 843.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 50 of
Article 99 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
title "Wild Fowl—Birds and Game," sub-title "Otters—Rac-
coons—Muskrats.''
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 50 of Article 99 of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland, title "Wild Fowl—Birds and Game,"
sub-title "Otters—Raccoons—Muskrats," be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
SEC. 50. Any person violating the preceding section shall
on conviction pay a fine of not less than five dollars nor more
than twenty dollars for each and every otter, raccoon or musk-
rat trapped, caught, killed or in his possession contrary to the
provisions of the preceding section, and in default of payment
of fine or fines imposed hereunder, together with the costs, the
offenders shall be committed to jail for not less than ten nor
more than thirty days for each offense; one-half of all fines to go
to the informer. The provisions of this section shall not apply
to Baltimore, Harford, Cecil, Charles, Howard, Anne Arundel,
Caroline, Carroll, St. Mary's, Worcester, Garrett, Prince
George's, Calvert, Allegany, Washington, Frederick and Mont-
gomery counties.
