1630 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [Ch. 838]

SEC. 18. The Insurance Commissioner shall prepare blanks
of contract and policy complying with the provisions of this
act, and shall distribute the same, upon application, free of
charge.

SEC. 19. Nothing in this act contained shall be construed as
authorizing any employer, any officer or agent of such employer
to require any employee or any person seeking employment,
as a condition of such employment or of the continuance of
such employment, to enter into a contract, or to continue in
such contract, such as is authorized to be made by section 1 of
this act.

SEC. 20. All provisions in the statutes inconsistent with
this act are hereby repealed.

SEC. 21. This act shall take effect and be in force from the
date of its passage.

CHAPTER 838.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments sections 535,
536, 537, 538, 539, 539A and 540 of Article 4 of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title
"Inspections, Weights and Measures," sub-division "Coal."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sections 535, 536, 537, 538, 539, 539A and 540 of
Article 4 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "City of
Baltimore," sub-title "Inspections, Weights and Measures," sub-
division "Coal," be and the same are hereby repealed and re-en-
acted with amendments so as to read as follows:

535. Every person, firm or corporation dealing in or selling
mineral coal or coke within the City of Baltimore, and every
person, firm or corporation owning, occupying, leasing or main-
taining yards or wharves used for the sale, storage or handling
of coal or coke in said city, shall maintain scales of suitable
capacity within or adjacent to said yards or wharves. Any vio-
lation of the provisions of this section shall be a misdemeanor
and shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $10.00 for
each and every day that said violation shall continue.

536. Every person, firm or corporation dealing in or sell-
ing mineral coal or coke within the City of Baltimore shall cause
all coal or coke so sold to be weighed upon the scales maintained
in accordance with the provisions of the preceding section. Any
