CHAPTER 801.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the payment to William G.
Earl of a sum of money by the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Baltimore County, to reimburse him for loss sus-
tained by him as road supervisor of said county through
the failure of the Southern Trust and Deposit Company, of
Baltimore.
WHEREAS, William G. Earl, of Baltimore county, while serv-
ing as road supervisor of the Fifteenth Election District of
said county in the year 1909, deposited funds as road super-
visor in the Southern Trust and Deposit Company of Balti-
more for the purpose of carrying on his work as supervisor
aforesaid; and,
WHEREAS, The said Southern Trust and Deposit Company of
Baltimore City went into the hands of the receiver at the
time of the deposit above mentioned and the said William G.
Earl sustained through its failure a loss of $396.52, which
he was compelled to pay individually to the County Com-
missioners of Baltimore County; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of County Commissioners of Baltimore
County be and it is hereby authorized and directed to issue
its warrant upon the treasurer of Baltimore county in favor
of William G. Earl, of said county, for the sum of $396.52.
to reimburse him for the loss sustained by him as road super-
visor of said county in the year 1909, through the failure
of the Southern Trust and Deposit Company of Baltimore City.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 802.
AN ACT to repeal section 55 of Article 25 of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws of Maryland, title "County Commission-
ers," sub-title "Draining Lands," so far as the same is
applicable to tax ditches and drains situate wholly within
Somerset county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
