(f) They shall provide for the frequent inspection of all
premises by a person or persons to be designated by the Mayor
or health officer;

(g) They shall pass such ordinances as they may deem nec-
essary to preserve the health of the town, suppress and remove
all nuisances, prevent the sale of adulterated or decayed food,
and prohibit any and all business within the corporate limits
as shall, in their opinion, injuriously affect the sanitary condi-
tion thereof.

355. To establish the grades of the streets, gutters and side-
walks of said town, fix the width thereof and describe the
material of which they shall be constructed, to cause the side-
walks along the public streets to be graded, paved, repaved or
improved, and the council of the town of Kensington shall have
power to lay sidewalks in said town, and shall assess the cost
thereof as follows: two-thirds thereof against the abutting prop-
erty owner or owners, and one-third thereof against all the
assessable property in the corporate limits of said town, and the
said tax so assessed shall become a lien against the taxable
property in said town, two-thirds thereof against the property
owner or owners whose property shall abut on said sidewalks,
and one-third thereof against all the taxable property in the
corporate limits of said town, and the said tax so assessed
against the abutting property and the said tax so assessed
against all the property in the corporate limits of said town for
sidewalk improvements may be recovered at law or in the
manner provided by law for the collection of delinquent State
and county taxes, or said council of said town of Kensington
may, by fines or otherwise, compel the owner or owners of any
property, lot or lots in said town to grade, pave or repave the
sidewalks, or set curbs in front thereof, agreeable to ordinances
which may hereafter be passed by the" council of said town.

356. To open and keep open and free from obstructions all
streets, public squares and reservations, grade and pave, close
or alter the same, and their rights, powers and duties in rela-
tion thereto shall, except as hereinafter otherwise prescribed,
be the same as is provided by the Code of Public General Laws
of this State for opening, altering and closing public roads by
the Board of County Commissioners, with the right of appeal
to the Circuit Court for the county:

(5) To keep the streets and crossings and town's bridges
clean and in repair;
