1906, ch. 384, sec. 16F.

265. That where any taxpayer of said town is assessed with
personal property alone, the clerk and treasurer may in his
discretion levy upon and sell the same for taxes due and in
arrears at any time after the first day of September in any
year after levy and advertisement.

1898, ch. 453, sec. 17.

266. Those parts of the several county roads within the
limits of said town are hereby made and declared to be public
streets or avenues of said town, and shall be from time to
time improved and repaired, as in the discretion of the council
the public interest may require and the resources of the town
will justify.

267. The commissioners of the county, the Board of Public
School Commissioners, justices of the peace, sheriffs, constables
and all other State and county officers, shall have, hold and
exercise their offices in said town as heretofore, except as quali-
fied by the other sections of this act. The County Commis-
sioners of Montgomery County shall, on or before the first day
of January, eighteen hundred and ninety-nine, and on or before
the first day of January in each and every year thereafter, pay
over to the town of Garrett Park that proportion of the entire
county levy for the repair of roads which the total real prop-
erty assessed within the limits of the town of Garrett Park
bears to the whole amount of assessed property in Montgomery
county, so that the town of Garrett Park shall receive and dis-
burse, for the maintenance of the streets of said town the
amount levied for the repair of roads by said County Commis-
sioners of Montgomery County, upon the real property within
the corporate limits of the town of Garrett Park.

268. This sub-title of this article is hereby declared to be a
public act, and may be used in evidence in all the courts of
this State without proof.

1898. ch. 453, sec. 20.

269. Neglect or non-use shall not work a forfeiture of this
charter.

1910, ch. 366, sec. 1.

270. That the Mayor and council of Garrett Park be and
they are hereby authorized and empowered to borrow on the
credit of the said town an amount not exceeding fourteen thou-
sand ($14,000) dollars, and to issue coupon bonds therefor
under the corporate seal of the said town of Garrett Park,.
