153. The term of office of the treasurer hereby provided
for shall begin on the first day of July and shall continue
two years, unless sooner removed for cause, and until his
successor is duly appointed and qualified, as herein provided.

154. Nothing in this act contained shall be taken or under-
stood as impairing the duties and obligations of collectors of
taxes in Montgomery county appointed prior to the first day
of July, 1906, in regard to levies of taxes in their hands for
collection; and it is hereby expressly provided that said col-
lector shall proceed to complete such collections under the
existing provisions of law as fully as if this act had not been
passed, and the clerk to the county commissioners shall con-
tinue to perform all the duties by him required to be per-
formed in relation to the receipt and disbursements of taxes
heretofore levied until all outstanding accounts thereupon
dependent shall be settled and closed, an'd for that purpose
alone the provisions of the Act of 1892, Chapter 418, and
of the Act of 1900, Chapter 102, are hereby continued i n
force until such accounts are settled and closed as aforesaid.

155. That after the expiration of two years from the date
of any sale of real estate heretofore or hereafter to be made by
any of the tax collectors of Montgomery county, or by any
trustee appointed by the Circuit Court for Montgomery County
to complete the collection of any such collector, the treasurer,
provided such sale has been duly ratified by said court, and
the lands so sold has not been redeemed under the provisions
of the existing laws, shall at the request and cost of the
purchaser, his heirs or assigns, convey the lands so sold by a
good and sufficient deed to him or them.

156. It shall be the duty of the county commissioners to
publish, in their annual exhibit of receipts and expenditures,
the amount of monies received from the sheriff of said county
as costs collected by him in criminal cases; also the amount,
of monies remaining in the hands of said commissioners as
unexpended balances due pensioners who have died during
the year, for which such pensioners were allowed; also the
amount of monies repaid from other counties for monies
expended in the trial of cases removed from such counties for
trial in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County; also the
amount of monies remaining in the hands of the commis-
