SEC. 2.
And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 786.
AN ACT to appropriate a certain sum of money to W. Franklin
Taylor, M. D., for issuing as health officer, certain employ-
ment permits to children, no compensation for which is pro-
vided in the law directing their issuance.

CHAPTER 787.
AN ACT amending the charter of the "National Cemetery Com-
pany of Prince George's County," by changing the name to
the "National Cemetery of Maryland," empowering said cor-
poration to purchase, hold or use for the purpose of burial
four hundred acres of land in Prince George's county, extend-
ing the powers of said corporation, prescribing the member-
ship therein and the rights and incidents thereof, and pre-
scribing the number and manner of electing the board of
directors.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the name of the National Cemetery of Prince
George's County, a corporation formed under the General Laws
of the State of Maryland, be and' the same is hereby changed to
the "National Cemetery Company of Maryland," under and by
which name the said corporation is hereby authorized and
empowered to establish and maintain a cemetery and to pur-
chase, hold and use for the purpose of burial three hundred
acres of land in Prince George's county, and to enter into and
fully consummate such contracts for the acquisition of said
lands, and for raising funds to acquire the same and to establish
and maintain said cemetery as the board of directors may
approve, and likewise to do any act and thing and to enter into
and fully consummate any contract which the board of directors
may approve as beneficial to said corporation or in furtherance
of the purposes for which it was incorporated; and under and
by said name of the "National Cemetery Company of Mary-
land," said corporation shall enjoy all rights and exercise all
powers, privileges and franchises contained in its certificate
of incorporation and conferred by this act.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said corporation shall con-
sist of such members, not to exceed one hundred at any one-
