1306 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [Ch. 781]

in any manner catch, kill, trap, pursue, injure, hunt, take or
have in possession in Baltimore county any squirrel between
September 30th and September 1st, exclusive of both dates or
upon any Sunday. Any person or persons violating the pro-
visions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and
upon conviction thereof shall be fined five dollars and costs for
each and every offence, and an additional five dollars for every
rabbit, jack rabbit, cotton tail, pheasant, ruffed-grouse, ring-
necked pheasant, partridge, quail or squirrel killed, trapped,
taken or had in possession in violation of the provisions of this
section.

SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That no person, persons,
partnerships, corporation or transportation company shall buy,
sell, have in possession or offer for sale for the purpose of
export from Baltimore county, or export from or carry out of
said county, any rabbit, jack rabbit, cotton tail, pheasant, ruffed-
grouse ring-necked pheasant, quail, dove, squirrel or woodcock
except as in this article otherwise provided. Any person or per-
sons violating the provisions of this section shall be decmed
guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall pay
a fine of five dollars for each and every rabbit, jack-rabbit, cot-
ton-tail, pheasant, ruffed-grouse, rink-necked pheasant, partridge,
quail, dove, squirrel or wood-cock bought, sold or had in pos-
session for the purpose of export from Baltimore county, or
transported, bought or sold for export, or exported or carried
out of said county, and in default of payment of such fine
shall be imprisoned in the House of Correction or county jail
for a period of not less than twenty days, nor more than thirty
days or until the fine is paid.

SEC. 10. And be it further enacted, That it shall be unlaw-
ful for any person or persons to hunt, catch, kill, trap, pursue,
injure, shoot or have in possession any partridge, jack-snipe,
rabbit, jack rabbit, pheasant, ruffe'd-grouse, ring-necked pheas-
ant, quail, partridge, squirrel, woodcock, ree,d bird, rail bird,
black bird, dove, sora, wild duck, grouse or swan, in said
county, without first having obtained from the clerk of
the Circuit Court for Baltimore county a license per-
mitting the person named therein to so hunt, take, catch,
kill, trap, pursue, injure, shoot or have in possession any
of the above named birds or animals, which license shall
state the name of the applicant, his age, color of hair,
height, occupation and residence, and shall not be trans-
ferable; and all licenses so issued shall date from the time so
issued until the first day of July next following the date of the
issue of such license. The cost of said license shall be as fol-
