SEC. 3.
And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 765.
AN ACT requiring persons, firms or corporations engaged in
hauling heavy timber for commercial purposes over the pub-
lic roads of Anne Arundel county to take out a license so
to do.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That from and after the first day of May, 1912, it shall
not be lawful for any person, firm or corporation to engage in
hauling heavy timber, cordwood excepted, over the public roads
of Anne Arundel county for commercial purposes without hav-
ing first obtained a license so to do from the Clerk to the County
Commissioners for each vehicle or timber wagon, cart or set of
timber wheels engaged in hauling .the same and paying there-
for to said clerk the sum of two dollars ($2.00) per month, for
each vehicle or timber wagon or cart so used in hauling heavy
timber for commercial purposes.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any person, firm or corpora-
tion violating the provisions of this act shall upon conviction
before any justice of the peace in said county be fined a sum
not exceeding fifty dollars for each and every offense.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 766.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 87 of
Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Baltimore County," sub-title "County Treasurer."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 87 of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore County," sub-title "County
Treasurer," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments so as to read as follows:
