directed in their discretion to contribute for the maintenance
and support of the Havre de Grace Hospital of Harford County
the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000) annually, or so much
thereof as they may in their judgment think proper.
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this, act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 715.
AN ACT to add one new section to Article 1 of the Public Local
Laws of Maryland, entitled "Allegany County," sub-title
"Dogs and Sheep," and to be known as section 100F of said
Article 1, for the purpose of encouraging sheep raising, pro-
viding protection for loss of sheep, and subjecting the owner
or owners of dogs destroying sheep to liability to the County
Commissioners of Allegany County for destruction of such.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be added to Article 1 of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland, entitled "Allegany County," sub-title
"Dogs and Sheep," to be known as section 100F.
100F. That whenever any person shall sustain any loss or
damage to sheep by a dog, bitch or spayed bitch in any election
district in said county, and such person shall have preferred any
claim for such loss and damage against the County Commis-
sioners for Allegany County, in accordance with sections 100Ar
100B, 100C, 100D and 100E of Chapter 492 of the Laws of
Maryland, passed in 1906, with reference to the killing of sheep
by dogs in Allegany county, and such claim shall have been
allowed and paid by the County Commissioners of Allegany
County, in accordance with said act, that in each and in all such
cases, the owner or owners of such dog, bitch or spayed bitchr
shall be liable for all damages and costs, said County Commis-
sioners shall be required to pay on account of the sheep so
injured, in a suit to be instituted by the County Commissioners
of Allegany County, before any justice of the peace, or the Cir-
cuit Court for Allegany County, provided, however, that in any
such suit the owner or owners of any dog or dogs so sued, shall
have the right to make any and all defenses to such suit as to
the value of the sheep killed, and the dog or dogs so killing
said sheep, as he or they could have made in a suit against him
for said damages by the owner of the sheep.
