PHILLIPS LEE GOLDSBOROUGH, ESQ., GOVERNOR. 1065

CHAPTER 682.

AN ACT to give employers of farm labor in Anne Arundel
county the right to prompt restitution of their premises
when occupants thereof leave their employ or are discharged.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That all employers of farm labor in Anne Arundel county
who own, or are the tenants of, premises whereon axe located
dwelling houses occupied by their employees paid by the day,
week or month, with the use of said dwelling house or houses
as a part of their compensation, shall have the right to the
restitution of their said dwelling house or houses or other
buildings whenever any of their said employees shall for any
reason leave their employ or be discharged, and the said
employers shall have the right to re-enter and take possession
of their said premises; provided that before doing so, said
employers shall give to their said former employees three days'
previous notice in writing as to their intention or desire to
regain possession of said premises in cases of laborers employed
by the day; and one week's notice where employed by the
week; and one month's notice where employed by the month.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 683.

AN ACT to repeal and to re-enact with amendments sections
130, 130A, 131 and 132 of Article 8 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Cecil County," sub-title "Elkton," and to
add an additional section to said article under said title
and sub-title to follow section 132A, and to be designated

132B.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sections 130, 130A, 131 and 132 of Article 8 of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Cecil County," sub-title
"Elkton," be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments, and a new section be and the same is hereby
added to said Article 8 under said title and sub-title to follow
section 132A, and to be designated as section 132B, all of said
sections to read as follows:

SEC. 130. Said board shall consist of 5 persons, a presi-
dent and four commissioners, who shall be citizens of the
