1000 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [Ch. 662]

applied exclusively to the payment of indebtedness incurred
by the County Commissioners of Wicomico County through the
School Commissioners thereof in the purchase of the land in
the City of Salisbury, the towns of Fruitland, Hebron and other
towns and communities in said Wicomico county, -for the pur-
pose of erecting school buildings thereon, and the erection and
equipping of school buildings thereon, for the purpose of the
public schools of said Wicomico county, and for no other pur-
poses, and the sum raised aforesaid shall be paid by the Treas-
urer of Wicomico county, upon the requisition of said School
Commissioners, indorsed by the County Commissioners thereof,
as other funds are paid out. And the said School Commission-
ers are hereby authorized to make requisition on and the County
Commissioners are hereby directed to receive and pay the same,
and the said County Commissioners shall keep a special account
of receipts from the sale of said bonds aforesaid and the expen-
ditures thereunder by the School Commissioners of Wicomico
County; and the School Commissioners of Wicomico County
shall also keep a special account of the amounts expended for
the purposes herein provided for.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That if at the end of
three years from the date of sale of the bonds there remains a
balance therefrom, that the said balance shall then be paid to
the School Commissioners of Wicomico County for the gen-
eral use and benefit of the public schools thereof.

SEC. T. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 662. .

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 88 of
Article 5 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland
of 1904, title "Appeals and Errors," sub-title "Appeals from
Justices of the Peace."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 88 of Article 5 of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland of 1904, title "Appeals and Errors," sub-
title "Appeals from Justices of the Peace," be and the same
is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read
as follows:

SEC. 88. On the party signifying his intention to appeal,
it shall be the duty of the justice of the peace to enter the
