the Bureau of Revenue Estimates, re-
views reports from Data Resources In-
corporated, one of the state's eco-
nomic forecasters.
3:02 p.m. - Armored courier picks up
daily deposits from the Income Tax
Division. The deposits will earn inter-
est from 9:00 a.m. this morning.
3:15 p.m. - Comptroller Louis Gold-
stein and State Treasurer Lucille Mau-
rer meet with other members of the
Capital Debt Affordability Commission
to finalize recommendations of the
amount of general obligation debt that
may prudently be authorized by the
1992 session of the legislature.
3:34 p.m. - Steve Watson extracts
budget amendments from agency fis-
cal year closing documents to be able
to track them through final approval
by the governor and ensure proper ac-
counting and reporting.
4:00 P.M.
4:04 p.m. - Karen Scheerer arrives at
the Glen Burnie Carnival to set up ad-
missions and amusement tax collec-
tions. The Comptroller's Office col-
lects admission and amusement taxes
for local governments.
4:12 p.m. - Motor Fuel Inspector
Frank Von den Bosch issues a "stop
sale" for high vapor pressure in gaso-
line to an Anne Arundel County sta-
tion. The high vapor pressure, detect-
ed in tests at the Motor Fuel Testing
Laboratory, causes engine problems
for consumers.
4:15 p.m. - Marge Kirk audits a state
income tax return for unreported in-
come, based on a comparison of in-
formation supplied by the taxpayer
and by a financial institution.
5:00 P.M.
5:03 p.m. - Alcohol and Tobacco Tax
Enforcement Unit agents raid a Fred-
erick County business, confiscating
untaxed cigarettes and liquor.
5:15 p.m. - Ken Thompson confers
with the Department of Budget and
Fiscal Planning to determine final re-
visions to state agencies' original fis-
cal year 1991 appropriations.
5:25 p.m. - Don Scheeler and Betty
Qaskins wrap up an inventory of wine,
beer and distilled spirits at a
Halethorpe wholesaler as part of an
alcohol and tobacco tax audit.
State Treasurer Lucille Maurer and State Comptroller
Louis L. Goldstein work on Maryland's capital debt affordability
analysis, which annually recommends debt authorization limits
to the General Assembly.
6:00 P.M.
6:03 p.m. - Chief Deputy Comptroller
Basil Wisner answers questions at a
legislative hearing on state revenue
policy.
6:45 p.m. - Comptroller Goldstein
meets with local officials at a meeting
of the Maryland Association of Coun-
ties.
7:00 P.M.
7:03 p.m. - Ed Taylor, a contractual
employee in the Income Tax Division,
calls a taxpayer to pursue a delin-
quent account as part of the Revenue
Roundup, designed to provide an ad-
ditional $15 million in revenue.
7:50 p.m. - Kathy Weiss finishes an
emergency computer program to
move delinquent income tax accounts
to the Baltimore Office for follow-up.
