With Pride

Baltimore Spice

For many seafood lovers, Old Bay seasoning made by
the Baltimore Spice Company is as important to steamed
crabs as butter is to bread The company is one of
America's top producers of spice and seasoning,
marketing nearly 100,000,000 pounds every year But
aside from the Old Bay mainstay, the firm is also the chief
processor and supplier of chili and mustard in the United
States (Photo courtesy of the Baltimore Spice Company)

Chesapeake Carvings

Canada geese are one of the many wildlife species that
often grace the Chesapeake Bay region in Maryland,
much to the delight of woodcarver Dean Brown of Chesa-
peake Carvings in Taneytown The Carroll County artist
also captures ducks, quail, turkeys and many more fowl
in colorful detail from basswood (Photo by Dean Brown)

Boordy Vineyards

Boordy Vineyards in Hydes is Maryland's oldest and
largest winery and the only one open year-round for tours
and tasting Started in 1945, the Baltimore County
establishment sells nearly 100,000 bottles of 11 different
wines every year, plus wassail and champagne (Photo
