Report of the State Appeal Board for the Fiscal Year Ended

HONORABLE SIR:

We herewith submit a report of cases heard and decisions rendered by the State Appeal Board
under the Alcoholic Beverages Laws for the fiscal year beginning July 1st, 1951, and ending June 30th,
1952.

In Queen Anne's, Somerset and Worcester. Counties, the Board acts as hearing officers, their
decision being subject to appeal to the Circuit Courts of these counties. No appeals were taken from
the decision of this Board to the Circuit Court during the past fiscal year.

Bi-monthly meetings are held by the State Appeal Board to render decisions in cases heard; to
discuss pending cases; to set cases for re-hearing so as to afford parties an opportunity to present
additional evidence, etc.; and, where appropriate, to arrange for personal inspection of licensed premi-
ses or of premises proposed to be licensed.
