We herewith submit a report of cases heard and decisions rendered by the State Appeal Board
under the Alcoholic Beverages Law for the fiscal year beginning July 1st, 1947, and ending June 30th
1948.

In Charles, Queen Anne's, Somerset and Worcester Counties, the Board acti as hearing officers
their decision being subject to appeal to the Circuit Courts of these counties. No appeals were taken
from the decisions of this Board to the Circuit Courts during the fiscal year.

Bi-monthly meetings are held by the State Appeal Board to render decisions in cases heard, to
discuss pending cases, to set cases for re-hearing so as to afford parties an opportunity to present ad-
ditional evidence, etc., and, where appropriate, to arrange for personal inspection of licensed premises
or of premises proposed to be licensed.
