of Public Welfare in the sum of $5,000,000.00, as set forth in the
1940 Budget, is now payable out of general funds.

This report also contains Statements "GG" and "HH" showing
the detailed operation of the State License Bureau; Statement "Z"
showing operation of the Alcoholic Beverages Act; and Statement
"Y" showing operation of the Gasoline Tax Act. It is gratifying
to report that the gasoline tax collections reached an all-time high
record during the current fiscal year. These taxes have been dis-
tributed to the various sub-divisions in accordance with the re-
quirements of the Act. To all of these reports I invite your special
attention.

I call your special attention to the Table of Contents in the
front of the report, which will give you full knowledge of various
detailed statements and reports contained in the general report.

I wish to assure you that this office is always at your command
