Honorable Sir:

I herewith submit the following report of the License Inspectors of the
State of Maryland for the fiscal year beginning October 1st, 1936, and ending.
September 30th, 1937.

The total result of the inspection of licenses over the State of Maryland
for the year 1936-37 amounted to $58,685.32. Of this amount $26,111.75 was
collected in Baltimore City, which included a penalty of $5,189.90. In the-
counties $32,573.57 was collected, which included a penalty of $6,882.57, and
the total amount of penalty collected over the State was $12,072.47.

Every county in the State has been visited by an Inspector during the
past fiscal year, and we find the license situation in Baltimore City and the
counties in, splendid condition, the receipts being well ahead of the last fiscal
year. The following- is a list of the different kinds of licenses found to be
necessary by the State License Inspectors in Baltimore City and the Counties,
and which, had not been secured:
