In obedience to the requirement of Section 9 of Article 19
of the Code of Public General Laws, I have the honor to present
to you a detailed "statement of the funds and the revenues of
the State and of the public expenditures" for the fiscal year
ended September 30, 1900.

RECEIPTS.

The amount received into the Treasury proper, from all
sources, during the fiscal year was $3,622,493.42, as will be
seen by reference to statement "A." This, together with the
amount of $707,926.00 in the Treasury proper September 30,
1899, and $206,326.80 to the credit of the funds' account, as
will be seen in statement " F," will make the total $4,536,746.22.

While a comparison of these figures shows about the same
result, yet many changes are worthy of mention, some showing
marked increase, while the opposite is true of others. In the
former may be mentioned the Maryland Agricultural College.
