"Table No. 11," exhibits in detail the receipts from Notaries
Public, for taxes on protests, amounting to $3,536.67.
" Table No. 12," shows the receipts during the fiscal year 1889,
from Sheriffs, on account of excess of fees, interest and fines and
forfeitures, amounting to $1,586.78.
" Table No. 13," shows the revenue from Licenses to Foreign
Insurance Companies for the fiscal year 1889, amounting to an
aggregate of $45,036.63.
" Table No. 14," shows in detail the amounts of State taxes
for 1889, remaining uncollected in the hands of Collectors in the
several counties and city of Baltimore, at the close of the fiscal
year 1889, amounting to $354,084.75.
" Table No. 15," shows balances due from Collectors for years
previous to 1889, amounting to $234,865.91.
" Table No. 16," shows balances due from Sheriffs for various
years previous to and including 1889, amounting to $25,333.20.
" Table No. 17," shows balances due from Clerks of Courts,
Begisters of Wills and other Officers, for interest, amounting to
$39,522.04.
" Table No. 18," shows the amounts due from various Corpor-
ations for State taxes for various years, amounting in the aggre-
gate to $103,073.38 at the close of the fiscal year, some of which,
however, have been paid into the Treasury since the close of the
fiscal year, as noted in said table.
"Table No. 19," shows special appropriations made by the
Legislature paid during the fiscal year 1889.
" Table No. 20," shows in detail the disbursements made dur-
ing the fiscal year 1889, from the Contingent Fund of the Comp-
troller, and "Table No. 21" shows in detail the disbursements of
the Contingent Fund of the Treasury Department during the
fiscal year 1889. The statement of the rents of the State To-
bacco Warehouse Wharves, required by Joint Eesolution No. 13
of 1886, is appended, showing the indebtedness of the Ware-
houses to the State to be $175,126.50 at the close of the fiscal
year.
"Appendix No. 2," contains a number of tables, showing re-
ports from various Officers, and other matters, furnishing data
for the arrival at correct ascertainments of amounts in preceding
statements.
