I therefore respectfully ask, that the Committee raised for this pur-
pose may be required to examine the vouchers for each and every item
of expenditure authorised by this Department, and to report fully
upon the same. I hope that the suggestions made in this report in re-
gard to the finances, may receive the careful attention of the Legisla-
ture, and that the Session may be productive of much substantial
benefit to the people of the State.
