SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 15 and 16 of Article 33 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Elections," sub-
title "Registration," as the said Article was enacted by the
Act of 1896, Chapter 202,' be and the same are severally
repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

15. The Supervisors of 'Elections shal! furnish to each
Board of Registry, for the purpose of sucL registration, two
registry books, which it shall be the duty 'of said officers of
registration to protect and keep safe; and the said Supervisors
shall designate two of said officers appointed from different
political parties, each of whom shall be charged with the cus-
tody of one of said books during the intervals between the
sessions of the Board of Registry until the return of said
books to the Supervisors of Elections, as hereinafter provided.
