ALDERMEN — Said Aldermen shall receive $1000 an-

nually, payable quarterly by the mayor

and city council of Baltimore,

Shall charge and collect fees for ser-

vices as heretofore,

At the end of each month shall make

return on oath, and pay over to the Re-

gister of the city all monies received for

fees, &c.

Shall report quarterly to the Mayor,

the number of cases, civil or criminal,
|
 
|
 
|
which they have acted on, the number of
|
 
|
 
|
acknowledgments of deeds taken before
|
 
|
 
|
them, the number of days they have been
|
 
|
 
|
absent from place of official duty, &c.

In case of failing in those duties, com-

|
mission vacated,
|

The Mayor required to report quarter-

ly to the Executive, copies of such reports
|
 
|
 
|
with such remarks and representations as

the cases require,
|

|

Upon neglect or irregularity in an Al-

dermen, and being notified thereof, fails
|
 
|
 
|
to satisfy the Executive, they may remove
|
 
|
 
|
such and appoint another in his place,
|

|
"
|
In case of moral or official misconduct
|
 
|
 
|
of, the Executive after notice and exami-
|
 
|
 
|
nation, &c. may dismiss and appoint ano-
|
 
|
 
|
ther for the residue of his term,
|
"
|

In case of death, &c. the Executive shall

|
 
|
fill the vacancy for the term,
|
"

All monies payable to, may be recover-

ed by action of debt &c. in the name of the
|
 
|
 
|
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore,

The appointments shall be made, one

for each ward, specified,

This act not to go into effect unless ac-

|
cepted and ratified by theMayor and City
|
 
|

Council at their next annual, or some in-

termediate session,
