CHAPTER 221.

Passed Mar,27, 1836

An act, supplementary to an act, passed at December

 

session, eighteen hundred and thirty-f our, chapter

 

twenty, entitled, an act for the relief of Edward W.

 

Belt, former Sheriff of Prince George's County.

Act of 1834, ch. 20 extended

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

 

That the provisions and all the powers, benefits, ad-

 

vantages and immunities, granted by an act of the

 

General Assembly of this State, passed at December

 

session, eighteen hundred and thirty-four, chapter

 

twenty, entitled, an act for the relief of Edward W.

 

Belt, former sheriff of Prince George's county, be and

 

the same are hereby extended and continued in full

 

force and operation until the first day of January,

 

eighteen hundred and thirty-seven, any law, provision,

 

limitation or proviso to the contrary notwithstand-

 

ing.

 

CHAPTER 222.

Passed Mar. 25, 1836

An act to Incorporate the Greensborough Manufacturing

 

Company.

Preamble

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-

 

bly, that William Hughlett, being proprietor of cer-

 

tain lands in Caroline county, at which there is valua-

 

ble water power sufficient for the operation of all kinds

 

of manufacturing machinery, is desirous of engaging

 

in such manufacturing operations at the said place,

 

and for the purpose of being enabled so to do on a more

 

extensive scale, and with a larger amount of capital.

 

proposes to take in other partners at such valuation of

 

the land and water power, as may be agreed upon be-

 

tween him and his associates, and that there are seve-

 

ral individuals who have signified their desire to unite

 

with the said William Hughlett, by subscribing for

 

stock in the proposed company, and are willing to be-

 

come partners with him, provided the inconveniences

 

of an unincorporated company consisting of many part-

 

ners, can be removed by obtaining from the General
