SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the sum of twenty

priated for the purpose of deepening and improving the

 

harbor of the City of Baltimore, be, and the same is

the redemption of the stock aforesaid, principal and

 

interest, to be by the said Treasurer, distributively ap-

 

plied to that purpose as the same shall accrue.

 

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the Mayor and !

Or authorities of Baltimore empow-

City Council of Baltimore, shall be and they are here-

ered to levy for the am't

by authorised to provide for the redemption or payment

 

of the said stock, by assessment and levy, upon the

 

assessable property in the said city, or by a loan upon

 

the credit of the city, and upon the redemption thereof

 

by the said city, within two years from and after the

 

passage of this act, thereafter as heretofore, the said

 

sum of twenty thousand dollars annually, shall be paid

 

out of the proceeds of duties arising from sales at

 

public Auction for the purpose of deepening and im-

 

proving the harbor of the city of Baltimore, subject

 

always to the Controul of the disposition of the Legis-

 

lature.

 

CHAPTER 185.

 

An act to authorise the building of a bridge orer little

Passed Mar.24,1836

Rumney creek, in Harford county.

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

Permission grant ed

That Samuel H. Barron, of Harford county, be and he

 

is hereby authorised to build a bridge over little Rum-

 

ney creek, in Harford county, at such place as to him

 

may seem most convenient for moving stock from that

 

portion of the farm where he now resides to Taylor's
