CHAP. 162

Passed Mar. 15,1836

CHAPTER 161.

A further additional stipplement to an act, entitled, an

 

act passed at December session eighteen hundred and

 

thirty-one, chapter one hundred and thirty-eight, for

 

the regulation and improvement of the Village of

 

Denton, in Caroline County, and for other purposes.

Survey directed

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

 

Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act

 

it shall be the duty of the Levy Court of Caroline

 

county, to call on the surveyor of said county, to lay

 

out a lot of ground, it being a part of the public land

 

in the Village of Denton, on the corner of Gay and

 

Second streets, not to exceed one half acre of land, for

 

the purpose of erecting and building thereon an Acad-

 

emy house, for the benefit of education, and after the

said survey is made, it shall be the duty of the said

 

surveyor to make a return of said survey to the levy

 

court of said county, and the said Levy Court shall

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said levy court

 

after receiving said plot, shall give a good and suffi-

 

cient deed for said lot, to the trustees of said Acade-

sors, for the purposes above named.

Repeal

SEC, 3. And be it enacted, That any law inconsis-

 

tent with the provisions of this act, be, and the same

 

is hereby repealed.

 

CHAPTER 162.

Passed Mar. 15, 1836

An act relating to the Sheriff of Harford County.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

attendance

That the Sheriff of Harford county, be allowed a per

 

diem of two dollars for each and every day he shall

 

attend the sittings of Harford county Court, and that

 

the said per diem allowance for the present Sheriff, shall

 

commence from the beginning of the March term of

 

said court for the year eighteen hundred and thirty-five
