CHAP.281.

be guilty of such offence, be liable to the penalty of ten

 

dollars, and a forfeiture of the net device or instrument so

 

used, one balf of the penalty with such net or instrument

for the use of the informer, and the residue for the use of

 

the state, to be recovered by information, and warrant be-

 

fore a justice of the peace in the county most contiguous

 

to the place where the offence may be committed, who shall

 

have full power and authority to enforce the recovery and

CHAPTER 280.

Personal Property, in Prince George's County.

Section 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-

ryland, That the justices of the levy court, of Prince

 

George's county, be, and they are hereby authorised and

 

directed to meet at Upper Maryborough, in said county, im-

 

mediately after the passage of this act, or as soon thereaf-

 

ter as may be practicable, and proceed agreeably to the

 

provisions of an act, passed at November session, eighteen

 

hundred and twelve, entitled An act for the valuation of

 

real and personal property in the several counties of this

 

state, to re-value and re-assess the real and personal pro-

 

perty within said county.

Persons exempt
from assessment.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That no person in said county

 

whose property shall not be assessed to the amount of one

 

hundred dollars, shall be liable for, or chargeable with, any

 

tax, assessment or charge imposed in virtue of the act, en-

 

titled An for the valuation of real and personal property in

 

the several counties of this state.

An act relating to the People of Color in this state.

Appointment of

board of managers

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-

ryland, That the governor and council shall, as soon as
conveniently may be after the passage of this act, appoint
