all the tolls received by them under the authority of this

CHAP. 217

law, during the year preceeding, and of all their disburse-
ments during the same period; and that before they proceed
to collect any tolls as aforesaid, they shall give bond to the
mayor and city council aforesaid, with security, to be ap-
proved by the said mayor, faithfully to apply all tolls col-
lected under the authority of this law, to the purposes there-
in directed.

Bond required.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That should the said William
Krebs or Richard Linthecum die, or refuse, or neglect to
carry into effect the directions of this law, then the mayor
and city council aforesaid, shall appoint some other person
or persons in his or their place, who shall carry into effect
the directions thereof, and in all things be governed by its
provisions.

Case of vacancy.

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That this law shall not go into
effect until approved by the mayor and city council afore-
said; Provided however, that the said mayor and city council
may approve of the third section thereof, and disapprove
of the rest, in which case the said third section shall be valid
and opperative, in all respects, notwithstanding such disap-
proval of the other sections.

Ratification re-
quired.

Sec. 7 And be it enacted, That all persons are hereby
prohibited from discharging any fire arms whatever, on said
bridge, under a penalty of five dollars for every such offence,
to be recovered by warrant, before any justice of the peace
for Baltimore city or county; the one half of said fine to be
received by th informer, and the other half to be received
by the said Krebs and Linthecum, and applied by them to
the repairs of the bridge.

CHAPTER 217.

An ad to repeal the third section of an act, entitkd A fur-
ther supplement to the act, entitled An act for the relief of
sundry Insolvent Debtors, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and thirty.

Passed Mar.7,1832

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the third section of an act, entitled A further supplement
to the act, entitled An act for the relief of sundry insolvent
debtors, passed at December session, eighteen hundered and
thirty, be, and the same is hereby repealed; Provided, that
nothing .contained in this act shall be construed to apply to
the city of Baltimore, also Baltimore county.
