GAY-STREET.

City commissioners of Balti-
more authorised to widen Gay-
street, formerly Bridge-street, in
said city, thirty feet on the north
west side thereof, from High-
street, westwardly, to the city-
line, and said street, when wi-
dened, declared a public street
and highway, and subject to the
like rules and regulations as other
public streets of the city, the foot-
ways of which shall be of such
width as the city commissioners
shall fix and determine. The
mayor to appoint assessors to va-
lue and assess damages sustain-
ed by widening said street, which
damages to be apportioned a-
mong the owners of property be-
