Mr. Stevens moved that the bill be referred to the Balti-
more City Senators.

Which was adopted.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the sale of the
State's interest in the Annapolis and Elk Ridge Rail Road to
the Baltimore and Drum Point Rail Road Company,

Was read the third time and failed to pass for want of a
constitutional majority, by yeas and nays as follows :

AFFIRMATIVE.

Aydelott. Mudd,

Brewer, Spencer,

Claggett, Suit,

Earle, Williams,

Knight, Walsh—13.
Longwell,

NEGATIVE.

failed to pass, and make it the special order for Saturday
