Mr. Stevens, from a Select Committee, reported favorably

The House bill entitled an Act to add an additional see-
tion to Article IV. of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"City of Baltimore.''

Which was read the second time.

Also, from the same Committee, reported favorably on

The House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Prince George's county, to subscribe to the
capital stock of the Washington City and Point Lookout
Rail Road Company.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Williams, from a Select Committee, reported favorably

The House bill in relation to Public Roads in Calvert
county, with an amendment :

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out the title and insert in lieu thereof, "A bill enti-
tled an Act supplementary to an Act passed January Ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and seventy-two, entitled an Act to
provide for the repair and improvement of the Public Roads
of Calvert county.

"Section 3. And be it it enacted, That whenever the Coun-
ty Commissioners of said county, have reason to believe that
any public road in said county has ceased to be used as a
public highway, it shall be competent for the said County
Commissioners to appoint three discreet and sensible men re-
siding in the neighborhood of said public road, who shall
be directed to examine said road, and to report to said County
Commissioners whether, in their opinion, it will be advisable.

"Section 3. And be it enacted, That whenever the County
Commissioners of said county, have reason to believe that any
public road in said county has ceased to be used as a public
highway, it shall be competent for the said County Commis-
